FISHING REPORT

Offshore:    With warmer temperatures and calmer winds the fishing offshore has been very good the last few days. Reports of yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna, wahoo, king mackerel and a few dolphin have been coming in from around the 90 Ft. Drop to the Big Rock and Swansboro hole areas. Hopefully the warmer weather will continue and the fishing will keep picking up.

Inshore:    We are still seeing large schools of Red drum in the surf and around the Shoals. Bottom fishermen are catching a few black drum and sea mullet.

Inside:    Redfish are scattered along the beaches on the eastside of the Cape Lookout shaols as well as in front of Shackleford banks. Getting the weather days to let you take advantage of some of these big schools of reds is the only problem. Pay close attention to the long range weather to plan you trips. You will need to find days with 5-10 knots or less and directions from either the NE,NW or West for the best results

Piers:    Closed

Charters:    We are now booking for redfish.
