FISHING REPORT

Offshore:    The fishing offshore has still been a little bit slow except for the billfish. The sailfish bite has been very good from the 990 ft. Drop to the Big Rock. There are still blue marlin being caught offshore of the Big Rock and North. The wahoo fishing has been pretty good around the 90 ft. Drop and south around the Rise as well as the Swansboro Hole area. The dolphin have gotten smaller and more spread out. You can find bsilers concentrated on any floating debris and wed lines if you can find one.
 
Inshore:    Spanich mackerel fishing is jusst about as good as it gets right now. There are plenty of Spanish mackerel both around the Beaufort Inlet and west of the Beaufort Inlet as well as up around the Cape Lookout shoals. There are plenty of buefih mixed in with the Spanish. the king mackerel fishing has been spotty the past week. The majority of the kings have been on the eastside of the Cape Lookout shoals. There are plenty of amberjacks on all the natural reefs and wrecks as well as around all the artificial reefs.
 
Inside:    Rred drum fishing back in the marshes is still very good now and the speckled trout fishing is doing pretty good too. There are flounder around the Beaufort Inlet and back around the Morehead City turning basin. Up in the Pamoico sound, the tarpon are dong well and the old red drum arre starting to show up in better numbers.
 
Piers:    Blue fish, and spanish, few spots,and sea mullet
 
Charters:    We are now booking for red drum, speckled trout, spanish mackerel, kings, amberjacks and sharks, and old red drum in the Pamlico sound..
